Learn more about Rebekah:

Rebekah McLain is based in Northeast Wyoming with her husband and five children. She has been drawing horses since she was a young girl and as a teenager knew that she wanted to work towards realism in her work.

Once the children started coming along, she had to take a major break in her work and in turn got a bit rusty. In 2023, after nearly 10 years off, she picked up pencils again and started relearning how to use them.

Her skills are constantly improving and her work speaks for that with each new piece. Rebekah's artwork primarily focuses on horses and the western lifestyle with graphite being her medium of choice.

She works in realism because she truly loves adding details, and continues to search out new techniques and push her learning in an effort to grow.

While having no formal art lessons, she has invested hundreds of hours into building her skills to showcase her subjects accurately. Fueled by her love of horses and her special filly Oakley, she creates beautiful graphite drawings that capture the viewer. She aspires to inspire others to follow their dreams.

"I create because it brings me joy, and I want to share that joy with the world."

Enjoy the events around Sheridan this week and pop over after the wonderful Powwow by First People's at the Sheridan Inn.

Have a great day!
