Woven Tapestry 4 of 4 from the "Seasons" series by Ann Arndt.  Shares a view of the events of 2005 as well as a beautiful landscape.  Ann sais "2005 is the year the news turned bad".  The winter snowflakes are coming down from the top of the piece.  The wavy objects coming in from the left represent the tsunami that killed 400,000 people in Indonesia that year.  If you look closely, you can see a woman holding her child next to her with tear drops falling over them.  The camels escaped from a zoo in Afghanistan that year as well.  Artist Christoph did an installation in Grand Central Park in New York with giant yellow banners and she was given a piece of one and felt inspired to include it in the landscape.  Ann has a way of telling a story with meaning and showing you a fantasy world landscape at the same time.  Her mind is vast and it's a pleasure to share her work.
